OAPCG will host its spring 30-hour basic training on April 9 and 10 May 7 and 8 at the Center for Therapeutic Interventions (7477 E. 46th Place, Tulsa,OK74145).

The 30-hour training covers:

  • History of gambling and the diagnosis of Gambling Disorder
  • Communication and knowledge of gambling and Gambling Disorder
  • Assessment of Gambling Disorder
  • Gambling Disorder and co-occurring disorders
  • Neurobiology of Gambling Disorder
  • Treatment of Gambling Disorder
  • Special populations and multicultural considerations

Those who complete the training will also receive

  • 8 hours of free consultation
  • 100 hours of clinical experience with gambling clients and/or family members

The prerequisite for the 30-hour training is a state license in mental health or substance abuse or to be under supervision for licensure.

The registration fee for all days of training is $160.00.

There is one hour for lunch—on your own. Cost of workshop includes healthy snacks and workbooks.

CEU certificates will be awarded on the final day of training after the evaluation form is completed.
