TRAINING
BASIC TRAINING
Each spring and fall, OAPGG offers a 30-hour basic training on problem gambling. In addition to information about the diagnosis and treatment of problem gambling, the training also features Oklahoma-specific information on gambling history and prevalence and up-to-date information on sports betting, esports, and gaming addiction.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The National Council on Problem Gambling and its affiliates recognize March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month. Each March, OAPGG hosts an annual conference featuring local and national speakers. The conference is an opportunity to connect with colleagues and experts in the field of problem gambling and to stay up-to-date with with training.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING
OAPGG also works with partners across the state to provide additional training for counselors as well as others who may come into contact with those struggling with problem gambling or gaming. Training includes mindfulness, supervision, cultural awareness, ethics, and more.
CERTIFICATION AND MEMBERSHIP
CERTIFICATION
OAPGG has partnered with ODMHSAS to create a certification for problem gambling. Become an Oklahoma Certified Problem Gambling Treatment Counselor and be recognized for your expertise.

PREVALENCE OF PROBLEM GAMBLING IN OKLAHOMA
OAPGG conducted a prevalence study in 2022 with over 4,000 respondents reported their experience with gambling and problem gambling. Learn more about the current rate of problem gambling and at-risk gambling and the groups of people experiencing heightened problems.
SELF-EXCLUSION INFORMATION
Each year, the number of individuals who sign up for the statewide self-exclusion program grows. Get information on how many people are in the program and the breakdown of gender, age, and race/ethnicity.
