Who We Are
Promoting Awareness, Providing Solutions
Funded by contributions from the state of Oklahoma, the gambling industry, corporations, and private citizens, The Oklahoma Association on Problem Gambling & Gaming (OAPGG) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation.
At OAPGG, we’re dedicated to providing education, increasing awareness, and developing prevention programs on problem gaming and gambling for all Oklahoma residents.
Through a dynamic set of resources, tools, and treatment options, we’re dedicated to combatting the devastating effects addictive gambling and gaming can have on individuals, their families, and communities.
If you or someone you know has a gambling or gaming problem, please call the national toll-free helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER or contact OAPGG at 405-801-3329. All calls are strictly confidential.
It is a standing policy of OAPGG to take no position for or against legalized gambling.
We work with state representatives, tribal nations, and mental health groups to find solutions for problem gambling.
Problem Gambling Prevention and Support
-
Individual Recovery
We support individual recovery by offering the Evive app free to all Oklahomans.
We also host the statewide self-exclusion program.
-
Mental Health Groups
We provide training and support for counselors across the state.
We proudly work with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to certify counselors in the treatment of problem gambling.
-
Tribal Nations
We work with tribal nations to promote responsible gambling at casinos across the state.
Many tribal nations have joined the statewide self-exclusion program, hosted by OAPGG.
We meet with local and state leaders to advocate for problem gambling awareness and support.
Each year we publish policy briefs on issues related to problem gambling in Oklahoma. For the past several years, our policy briefs have focused on responsible gambling policy for the legalization of sports betting.
